JUST ANNOUNCED: Cotton Jones Feb. 4 @ White Rabbit - Tickets Onsale Now!

MOKB Proudly Presents: Cotton Jones Live Feb.4th @ White Rabbit Cabaret!
Tickets are only $8 and may be purchased HERE

The music of Cotton Jones speaks of transition: the passage from one form, state of mind, style or place to another. “Tall Hours in the Glowstream,’” is the title of their new album. The Glowstream is a place centered between North and South Cumberland. It’s not really called the Glowstream – just a stream that rolls to a dead end by the train tracks downtown. A place to sit, undisturbed in the cool shade, and see the interstate bend around glowing steeples, as cars and trucks break their speed – it’s beautiful – how the city materializes, an oasis, after driving many miles through the mountains along I-68 – to this spot, where it’s possible to witness all the paces change.

Checkout this video of Cotton Jones performing "The Spinning Wheel"

MarchFourth Marching Band invades White Rabbit Cabaret!

Join us for a spectacular evening of nonsense and debauchery with the behemoth MarchFourth Marching Band.  Tickets are still available here or at the door for only $10.  They will be performing two sets (no opening act).  Doors open at 8 PM. White Rabbit Cabaret in Fountain Square.

MarchFourth Marching Band is a mobile big band spectacular, consisting of saxophones, trombones, trumpets and a drum/percussion corps, anchored by pumping battery-powered electric bass. Stilt-walkers, dancing girls, flag twirlers, clown antics, and acrobatics accompany this eclectic ensemble.  The sound is huge, melodic, and dynamic, taking audiences on a musical journey around the globe. MarchFourth’s original material draws inspiration from an eclectic range of influences, such as gypsy brass, samba, funk, afro-beat, big-band, jazz, and rock music, as well as television, film, circus, and vaudeville.

MarchFourth is a date, a command, and a band. Imagine Duke Ellington meets Sgt. Pepper in an international big-top Fantasia. Imagine a 1920′s speakeasy where Mr. Bungle meets the Shogun Warriors in a PG Clockwork Orange. Imagine running into this giant spectacle marching through a festival, down a street, or onto stage. The impact is immediate and infectious!

To MarchFourth Marching Band, art is life. Aside from being performers, the members of MarchFourth are also full- or part-time artists, designers, and craftspeople. All their drum harnesses (welded from recycled bicycle parts), stilts, costumes, merchandise, audio, and visual propaganda are designed and produced by members of the band.
