Living Legends member MURS will play an all ages show at The Earth House on Saturday March 5 in Indianapolis.  Tickets go on sale today at 10 AM here.  Advance tickets are $14.

Zane Lamprey's Drinking Made Easy Tour June 15th at The Atheneaum Theatre

Zane Lamprey, star and host of the cult favorite hit TV series THREE SHEETS (RIP?), comes to Indianapolis!  This Tuesday, June 15th Zane and his band of sidekicks (including Steve McKenna and Marc Ryan) take over The Athenaeum Theatre in downtown Indianapolis.  This is a one-of-a kind drinking and comedy show! Tickets are still available for only $22 in advance or $24 at the door.  Door sales are cash only.  Read on for details about the show!

We pulled out all the tricks for this one.  We brought in our good friends from Indiana Vodka, Woodford Reserve and Sun King Brewery to offer you some of the best libations around.  Not to mention, two of them are brewed / distilled right here in Indianapolis.  There will be a full bar in the main lobby and a second bar in the Theatre (offering specialty Vodka and Whiskey Drinks, as well as cans of that tasty Sun King!)

Event Details
The Athenaeum Theatre is located at 401 E. Michigan Street, in the same complex that houses The Rathskeller and YMCA.  The theatre entrance is located near the corner of New Jersey and Michigan Streets.

The box office will open at 7 PM.  Enter through the main doors off of Michigan street (right next to the Rathskeller). Proceed up the steps to the lobby where you will find the Box Office table.  The lovely Jessica will be waiting to assist you in picking up/purchasing your tickets. Once you are checked in, you will be able to go up to the 2nd level (Theatre Level) and drink at the bar until the main doors open at 7:30 PM. Anyone that will be drinking will need to have a wristband, which you can get directly next to the bar on the theatre level.

Doors to the show open at 7:30 PM.  Seating is general admission.  Seating is set up with 4 chairs at each table.  Get there early and grab a seat right up front! 

There is plenty of parking on Mass Ave, New Jersey and East Streets.  There is also a parking lot to the East of the building but it will fill up fast!

This is a non-smoking event but we will offer pass-outs if you need to step out side for a moment.

My Old Kentucky Blog is pleased to announce the Earl Greyhound/Morning Teleportation show on Friday, July 9th at The Vollrath Tavern. We welcome back Earl Greyhound after they played an AMAZING show with OK Go at the Earth House back in April. We are also THRILLED to have Morning Teleportaion make their debut here in Indy. (RE)Sonance @ The Earth House - A Fundraising Event For Indy's Most Treasured All Ages Venue

This Saturday, May 1, The Earth House will host (RE)SONANCE; a fund-raising event that will benefit the venue's need for new sound system.  The Earth House Collective is a not-for-profit organization operated by local artists, musicians and volunteers.  The facility has the potential to become Indianapolis most treasured all ages venue.  We demonstrated the possibilities with the OK Go show last Wednesday.  If we can get a new sound system installed, this will instantly become a touring stop for national artists and will allow us to further our quest for more all ages shows in Indianapolis.  Plus the folks that run the Earth House are GOOD people, working hard for the love of music and community.  They are still seeking items for their silent auction.  If you have anything (or know someone who might) that you would like to donate to the silent auction, please email us at mokbpresents.com.  Details below. Blitzen Trapper to play Vogue in Indianapolis on August 5th

Thursday August 5th, MOKB is proud to present Blitzen Trapper with special guests Avi Buffalo at The Vogue.  Tickets for this show will be $12 in advance and $14 at the door (+$1 Facility Fee).  Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 AM EST via Ticketmaster.  You can also purchase tickets at Luna Music, Indy CD & Vinyl and The Vogue Box Office and avoid Ticketmaster fees.

Japandroids Contest Winners and Meet & Greet Photos

In case you missed it, we recently ran a couple very special Japandroids contests. We had a chance to spend some time with our winners at the show, and delivered the goods as promised.  Special thanks to Japandroids and Polyvinyl Records for making this possible.  And, thanks to Kehla West and Robert Wasson for supporting MOKB by purchasing advance tickets to our shows.

Fun Fact: We found out that our new friend, Robert Wasson, is actually a 6th grade science teacher who LOVES new music, garage rock, and vinyl.  How cool is that?
